We have some reports which use a pivot table to connect to our cube. We host those reports on SharePoint with Excel Services. We want to monitor the usage of these reports so we crated a test Trace for the server where the cube resides.
While the Trace is running we open any one of the reports and the report gathers its data and is rendered on the Browser as an Excel spreadsheet BUT nothing is registered in the Trace. As a comparison, we opened the report, still in SharePoint, but this time we opted to open the report in the Excel app itself (instead of the Browser) and this time we see Trace information being registered in the Trace for the report.
Is there a SharePoint setting or a Excel Services setting that needs configuring in order for Trace to capture information when report is viewed in Browser? Or perhaps in the Connection String of the report??
