Hi,
I am planning to do database server Upgrade from sql 2000 SP3 standard to SQL 2K Enterprise SP4.
The main reason being MS support and use of RAM.
Standard edition is limited to use 2GB of RAM.
Some of the application process is failing due to that.
One of the Option i have suggested is to upgrade to 2K Enterprise edition with SP4, so that it can have MS Support as well..
Does anybody has any experience in doing this task??

SQL 2000 SP4 is also out of support unless you have a premier contract and extended support. Has been so for 3+ years.
No chance of upgrading to SQL 2008 or SQL 2008 R2?
