Suggestion:SQL Server Wiki

  • Here's a thought I had: Why not start a SQL Server Wiki here at SQLServerCentral.com? I was thinking of starting my own, but a Wiki really isn't a single person activity.

  • I'd be more than happy to help.

Of the 3-4 wiki type systems at work, I do about 80 percent of the updates to a mediawiki we use for day to day instructions on how to do our job.

  • Cool idea... I'd happily contribute.

"I cant stress enough the importance of switching from a sequential files mindset to set-based thinking. After you make the switch, you can spend your time tuning and optimizing your queries instead of maintaining lengthy, poor-performing code."

  • What would the goal in terms of content?

  • Wiki content tends to evolve. The value is in how topics are covered and grouped. As interest expands it will cover more.

I would eventually want it to cover what is discussed on SSC but favoring grouping and linking to repeating content.

  • It might be a good idea to use the SQLSaturday wiki as a test:
