copy Db from one PC to another without lan

  • Hello friends I want to install datatbase from one pc to another...but i donot have any lan or tape drive how could i do this...any idea will welcome

    Is there any chance to create setup package means..i have MSDE 2000..so can i install DB in a setup package

  • use the following steps if you can :

    1) stop the services of your sql server.

    2) copy the mdf and ldf files into floppy

    if small or write ait into cd or you can alse you USB DRIVES.

    3) COPY THESE FILE INTO ANOTHER PC.

    4) ATTACH FILES.

    THAT'S ALL.

  • I have database of 5MB......is there any king of package  setup for MSDE 2000????through which i can install my DB???

  • If both PCs have network cards all you need is a 'cheap' little switch (<$40) and a couple of network cables to create your own LAN. If you are really daring, just one crossover network cable. Otherwise it's burn CDs.
