Merge Snapshot

    Hi,

    I'm trying to apply a merge snapshot from a remote server. I've copied the snapshot files over the wire to the subscriber. I am then simply adding the Alternatesnapshot folder setting to the repmerg command on the publisher.  The Distribution database and agents are running from the publisher, the only thing on the subscriber is the snapshot.

    I am, as you have probably guessed, having a few problems. The account on the publisher has rights on the subscriber but I am still getting an error sying that the publisher cannot propagate the snapshot.

    Anyone had any experience in this?

    Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

    Does the account running SQL Agent have rights on the subscriber?
