Hi everyone,
I've set up a log shipping maintenance plan between two of my servers.
Everything seems working fine, database has been initialized properly (seems to) and is in loading state (no recovery mode), TLOG are copied from my primary to my secondary server every 3 minutes.
I've done couple of tests last week, creating some new tables with data, and than restoring my DB on secondary servers to see if everything went fine... and it actually did, so should be perfect.
In fact my worries are on the "log shiping monitor". The status shows "Out of Sync". So I've tried a restore on secondary server, and actually data were synchronized. So i've rebuilt my logshipping, and here we go again, after a few minutes : "Out of sync".
Is there anyway i could find an information about what causes this "out of sync" status ?
My servers are both SQL2000 Enterprise Edition.
Thanx

Hi,
Can you check what error you are getting in sql error logs. Most probably your logshipping is failing because of below mentioned reasons:-
1. Network folder is not accessible from destination server.
2. You might not have configured log-shipping properly.
You will get clear picture of "out of sync " error from SQL log.
Regards
