xp_sendmail

    Hi,

    I am getting following message when I am trying to run xp_sendmail. I am running service pack 4.

    Please help..........

    Server: Msg 18025, Level 16, State 1, Line 0

    xp_sendmail: failed with mail error 0x80040111

    Mail is great fun and I always go through the same pain setting up a new server.

    SQL Mail needs an smtp client (aka Outlook) installed on the same box as SQL. You then need to create a mapi profile which I think you do from the mail app in control panel. Then go to your server in EM and expand support services, right mouse SQL Mail choose properties, enter your profile name - probablu 'Outlook' annd do a test.
