Full-text query failed!

  • This is SQL7.0

This is the error I get: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14' Full-text query failed because full-text catalog 'catName' is not yet ready for queries.

    This is the EVENT LOG:

    The Search service has started.

Unable to load Content Index for project <SQLServer SQL0002300005>.

    Error: 80070005 - Access is denied.  .

Unable to initialize project <SQLServer SQL0002300005>.

    Error: 80070005 - Access is denied.  .

I found some stuff on SQL2000 after up-grade from SQL7.0 But this is SQL7.0!

    Thanks

  • Did you populate that catalog?

in SQL Server2000, you can right click on the catalog and choose "populate".

  • I realize your new but you should be sure to read the whole post.

This is SQL7.0 and yes you can right click and populate the cat in 7.0 as well but when I do I says it completes and the cat is still empty. Seems something isn't connected. I'll be re-installing the sp next.

    Thanks for trying!

  • Yes, try the service pack. I remember I had the same issue at my other job and the issue truned out to be the SP.
