A good book for sql server architecture and dts etc

    Hi,

    Is there any good book you would recommend to understand sql servr architecture like how Oracle press good guide for Oracle which explains the whole architecture like sga pga etc plus instances... Any good book on SQL Server like this which covers the architecture plus explains prcesses like DTS,SQL AGent,JOBS... I have been reading SQL Server books online but seems like its not that thorough or complete... Does anyone has pdf version for books online???

    The best architecture books are:

    Inside SQL Server 2000 by Kalen Delaney

    The Guru's Guide series by Ken Henderson. The last of the series is specific to internals.

    SQL Server 2005 books are on their way. There is coverage of the SSIS engine in Professional SQL Server 2005 Integration Services by Brian Knight, Kathi Kellenberger, Haidong Ji, Andy Leonard, and a whole bunch of others.
