SS 2000 Version Info - 8.0.2039
The result from select @@version says this is "build 3790, SP1" but I find on the internet this this is 2000 SP4. which is it?
I also see that 194=RTM, 384= SP1, 534=SP2, and 760=SP3 or 3a...
Sounds like it must be SP4. Are there any patches or updates to this version?
Thank-you,

It's SQL Server 2000 sp4 running on Windows Server 2003 build 3790, SP1.
the 8.0.2039 refers to SQL, the build and teh sp that @@version returns refers to the underlying operating system.
My workstation returns (abbreviated)
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.760 (Intel X86) on Windows NT 5.1 (Build 2600: Service Pack 2)
i.e. SQL 2000 sp3 running on Win XP service pack 2
There are a couple post sp4 hotfixes, but no broad patches or updates as far as I know.

Thank you. that makes perfect sense
I do appreciate it... nice to be up to date, more or less.
