  • Hi guys                                                                                                                                        I`m new here before posting my question I tried to search all over the internet for this problem solution. One if our local machines has problem syncing with main server. This is an error I`m getting :

    The job failed.  The Job was invoked by User idi.  The last step to run was step 1 (Run agent.).

    The merge process could not perform retention-based meta data cleanup in database 'STRegister'.  The step failed.

    Message: Could not find the index entry for RID '16b6d94d0ca2738a7a210864b831bdd37cd58558200' in index page (1:279103), index ID 0, database 'STRegister'.ge process could not perform retention-based meta data cleanup in database 'STRegister'.  The step failed.

    This location has 11 databases only one has this problem Itried to resync it manulay and I`m still ending up with this msg. Please Help. Btw I`m a newbie so please be understanding. Thank You

  • It looks like this is not a replication problem but a corrupt data file problem.  IndexID = 0 is a table heap, most likely for one of the metadata tables, like msmerge_contents or one of those.  I would run a DBCC CheckDB and see what it finds.

    We're in the same shoes.  I posted an article today, you might want to take a look.  I think the steps I listed might work, but I'm afraid I might miss something and screw up the database and replication...
