  • Hi all

    What is SQL SERVER Architecture? this critical question in my interview I started to say about MASTER DB,MSDB DB,MODEL,TEMP DB

    he say no..

    Igain i started to say Net-Librarary,DB-Librarary,TDS,Sql enginee

    again say no.....

    i total confused,can some help out what the Ms-sql server architechure

  • You can read Microsoft's definition in Books Online (BOL). Select the Index tab, the type 'SQL Server'. Select architecture from the sublist.

    Basically, they just say that SQL Server is a server-based RDBMS that works in mutlitiered systems (including client/server systems).

    To quote BOL:

    A central database on a server shared by many users who connect to it over a network. The number of users can range from a handful in one workgroup, to thousands of employees in a large enterprise, to hundreds of thousands of Web users.
