Repl & MSDE

    Okay, stupid question here. 

    Can you use replication with an MSDE installation?

    If so, can you replicate between an enterprise edition installation and a MSDE installation?

    yes you can,

    we use MSDE as the subscriber and full SQL2000 as the publisher/Distributor

    im not sure about MSDE as a publisher though, im sure someone else could answer this better than i

    I thought you could, but we were having problems with an MSDE install.  As it turns out the third party vendor that this instance was installed for modified a bunch of stuff to not allow it.  Don't ask me how they did that.

    Anyway, we are installing a new instance and will be all set once we get the new instance up.
