SQLmaint.exe fail

    Hi All,

    I am getting this error when it runs tlog backup job.

     

    sqlmaint.exe failed. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 22029).  The step failed.

     

    what could be the reason.!! how can i solve it!!

    Unless you have the switches set to produce a report text file, you'll never know unless there is soemthing in teh SQL error log.

    Check the job command line to see if you have these files

    the contents of the text file usually let you know what is happening...

    it is not genereating the report in text also. the job fails while running the databasemaintenance plan!

    what is the solution! I tried creating again but still fails too.!!
