Hiii,
I have set a transactional replication. For some reasons Distribution agent fails . Hence am running a schedular program to detect the failure and able to get it.
But my problem is, i do not know how to proceed after detecting the same.
Do any one know how to write a program to start the distribution agent
any help would be great.

Hi K,
I'm not too sure if this will help but I had to setup replication on a few instances in here. At first I was getting a lot of difficulty on a machine that had multiple SQLServer instances on it. So i moved to single SQLServer instances. I was then getting problems transferring the data across. I eventually got it working, but the main things that you should check are username/passwords; agents running on both the dist and subscriber and that you have the right permissions on the distributing tables. I'm sorry I dont have any script but maybe this might start you off in the right direction.

You can run distrib.exe fom the command line!
Search BOL for "Replication Distribution Agent utility" for more info
