Hi All,
Can anyone give me a basic idea of what the following means after running a check dbcc on one of our databases? is this a warning or an actual problem that needs to be addressed?
Server: Msg 8904, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Extent (1:43904) in database ID 33 is allocated by more than one allocation object.
what does it mean....any helps appreciated, the net goes into too much detail, I just need to know the basics about what this is referring too and what it means!
Thanks All
S

I think this may be due to that When the tempdb database is heavily used, SQL Server may experience contention when it tries to allocate objects. Applying specific hotfix may solve the problem. Use the following KB link
