Can 2 different active servers share the same passive server?

    We currently have 2 separate active/passive clusters, supporting different databases/applications, they are all "diskless" servers (all drives, including the operating system drives are on a san) - my boss wants to know if we can change the configuration so both active servers can share the same passive server - the issue came up due to hardware costs.

    I am by no means an expert on this, but I would think you make a 3 node cluster with two active and one passive. Then put the passive server second in the list of possible owners.
