SA Password

    is there anyway to reset sa password. Actully i forgot SA password for one of my instance....

    Any help ?

    Yes it is possible through enterprise manager. In logins you'll see sa account. Double Click on it and type new password twice

    But you need to have system administrator or local administrator rights

    But if the Authenticaion mode is set for SQL Server authentication (sql server registration properties), how windows admin can access the server ?

    You can specify the authentication mode to Windows or Mixed. When you set to mixed, you can log in with your SQL or Windows id. By default, the BUITIN\Administrators group has access to SQL Server. This group is the Administrators group on your server. This is how your admins gets access to SQL server
