    Hi quick question,

     

    With AWE, is it better to have the memory dynamically allocate it to SQL Server or is it better to set it up statically and just give it all say 7GB out of the 8GB avalible, assuming the box has 8 ofcourse.

    With more than 4GB memory and Awe enabled, Memory will not be dynimically allocte to SQL Server anymore. SQL Server will grab all the physical memory minus leaving 128MB for OS. It's wiser to set a Max memory for SQL Server if you are going to use AWE.
