My NT server has SQL2000. It also had bags of space so I created a dual boot system and installed Win2003 server, installed SQL server2000.
I booted up on the Win2003 server and restored ONLY the master, model and msdb from the NT location. But lo and behold all the other user databases were there too still pointing to the NT location which is fine but I don't understand why.
Should this be expected? or should I restore from the backup. Regards
