Is it possible to capture changes (SQL Statement level) to a database using a trace while restoring logs? I need to show what data changed and by whom.
Any thoughts?

I wouldn't think it's possible.
I'd say you're better off with one of the several "log mining" utilities available.

You can try, but I doubt it as well. I agree with Mark that if you want to read the log, Lumigent, ApexSQL, LogPI are all good candidates for reading the log.

You need Log Explorer from Lumigent Technologies.
You can Download a free evaluation from : http://www.lumigent.com/products/le_sql.html
We are using the product and it really works
Good Luck
