Windows XP Professional SP2, MSDE SQL 2000 SP3a.
A customer has a problem in that the Master database has been set to suspect on four occassions in the past 6 weeks. It is reported when the PC is started in the morning, and the night before there are no problems reported.
How do I find out what is actually wrong with the database? The SQL Error Log doesn't supply a great deal of information other than it is suspect.
Regards,
Steve.

There is nothing in the error log about startup? Have you checked the disk for problems?

If I recall correctly the error log stated it couldn't recover the master db and it was set to suspect, and that was pretty much it.
After the thirs time this happened the entire PC was replaced, although I must admit I didn't check the Event Log this time.
