  I am running a DBCC SHRINKFILE to shrink a data file on a 300g db. it has been running for more than 3 hours now. Does anyone know if I kill the process, will i lose the DB?

  I wouldn't wanna try...

  My guess is that it will either stop (cool), or try to rollback (another 3 hours, minimum).
