Distribution Agent Log ''Error'' Event when job fails (instead of ''Warning'')

    Dear all,

    I've set notifications on my distribution and snapshot agents to 'Write to Windows application event log' 'when the job fails'.  The problem is that by default they seem to log a 'Warning' event, when I want them to log an 'Error' event.  Does anyone know of a way I can get these agents to log an 'Error' event when the job they are responsible for fails?

    Any replies would be very greatfully received.

    create another job step for your agent. Have step 3 go to this job on failure. Have this job raise a custom event which logs to the event log. You will have to create a custom message for this and you would use the raiseerror with log command.
