We plan to upgrade our SQL Server from 7.0 to 2000. In the process, the
operating system will also be upgraded from NT to Win2K. What is conisdered a better approach:
Install SQL Server 2000 as a new installation and then attach the SQL 7.0 databases?
Reinstall SQL Server 7.0 and service packs, reattach the 7.0 databases and then perform the SQL 2000 upgrade?
There is no replication or clustering involved.
