Naming Conventions and You

As the dba and tech writer dude I have to standardize the naming conventions for the coders, developers, what ever you call them this week. They are moving to C#.
Currently they are working on a legacy app that is a United Nations of coding standards. They say that they look at the module that they are assigned and try to keep their code at its standard. No two pages are alike.
They are planning to move to a new app, new design. I requested that coding standards be put in place, or at least discussed, before too long. I have been checking the web for suggestions and it looks as if Pascal or Camel notation is the latest vogue. That's fine. I was not a fan of Hungarian.
Any thoughts?

Now, when you search the Google archives you amazingly often cross the name Celko

Yes, I have used the camel notation. It's cool. I like Joe's comments, by the way. So many of the coding standards I have seen on the web try to micro-manage the details. I know the developers will ignore anything that detailed when it is crunch time.

I'm used to search in Google.de. But I think it's the same as when you search in Google.com, or is there a difference?
