Hi. We have a Symbol wireless barcode reader which needs connectivity to SQL apps. Terminal Server corrupts the display. The IE web client is not very friendly. Can we connect to and use SQL 2000 applications via Telnet? If so, how? Is there any [basic] documentation on doing so? If not, do you have any other recommendations? The Symbol terminal is running PocketPC. Thanks! - Alf

I have never heard of anyone connecting to SQL Server through Telnet. However, I could be wrong.

Telnet uses a text interface so you won't be able to run inside graphic interface apps (can reproduce only text). Some big app like SAP they have options to use such interfaces(TEXT).
PS: I think your question is not related to SQL Server.

Thank you for the replies. You're right, this isn't directly related to SQL Server. However, with as many companies that are using SQL backends with various data entry clients (including wireless), I thought some here may have some ideas. Thanks again! - Alf
