Why is my SQLserver2ksp3a on W2Ksp4 only loging warnings in Win-eventlog when I have set jobs to write to the eventlog when they fail ?
step executing had encounterd an error, resulting the job t fail.
result in eventlog:

The last step to run was step 7 (ALZ_Requesting_Followup_Job).

It seems related to Severity levels. The backup failure generates Severity levels 16 and Severity levels from 11 through 16 are generated by the user, and can be corrected by the user.

these jobs, running on SQL7sp2 with NT-4 sp6a, log an error-eventlog when they fail.
Since the server has been replaces by a SQLserver2ksp3a on W2Ksp4 it only logs warnings.

In 7.0, The Severity level for same error is 18.

I was thinking it should be something like that.
Did I overlook that documentation ?
