Installing SQL Server 7.0 EE on Windows 2000 AS - Installation Order of Patches

  • Hello,

    I am installing SQL Server 7.0 Enterprise Edition on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.  I have installed only the Win2k base operating system so far.

    What I would like to know, is what is the best order to install SQL Server, Windows Service Packs, Updates, patches etc, in order to achieve a stable system and use the latest files. Is their any documentation out there?

  • Generally, we install Windows and all of it's service packs and patches before installing SQL Server.  Here's an article that lists the order of installation:
