hi,
I recently installed, SQL server 2000 SP2 on win XP.
Everything works fine, except when I try to open or create a DTS using the package designer, I only have a blank screen : no toolbar, nothing...
Does anyone have an idea about how to fix this?

I tried switching XP themes but no luck.
Well I should add, I'm using a Dell laptop, so maybe there's something with my version of win (it's SP2 by the way)

If you right click on the design page, are Task Toolbar and Connection Toolbar checked?
Do you not even have the MMC menu options (Console, Window & Help)?

if I right click on the desin page I don't see anything...
But I do have the MMC menu on top of the screen. Actually, it's the only thing I have on the screeen...

Possible problem with the version of odbc drivers or sql client tools on the laptop. Did you create the dts package on the laptop?? My gues is the package was created elswhere and you are having issues opening it on the laptop. This can be caused by components in the DTS package that the laptop doesn't have installed on it (ODBC for Oracle etc etc) Try to determine if the problem only occurs if you try to open the package on the laptop. If the problem only occurs here it is not the DTS package that has the issue it is 'some' component on the laptop, MDAC version maybe.

Derek
