remote access with E.A.?

    Can someone explain me how to set up remote connection between two
    computers ,with win xp professional os, one running MSDE and
    other SQL server 2000? I see MSDE comp. and I have user with administrator
    privileges account on that computer but when I trie to connect  I always get
    "login failed for user guest"  message.How to set up remote access
    from enterprise manager. I'm using windows authentication when I'm
    tring to register server.
    Anyone?

    Are both machines in a domain?

    No,they are not. They are connecting to Internet and all I know are their IP adr.
