Database 6.5 on SQL 7

    I have a SQL Server 7 w/ a db compatibility Level 6.5. I understand that starting with SQL 7 Page lock was introduced. Since this database is still in 6.5, does it take advantages of the Page Lock and other functionalities while on SQL Server 7? thanks..

    Even when the database compatibility level is set to 60 or 65, applications gain almost all of the benefits of the new performance enhancements of SQL Server 7.0. Applications still benefit from features such as dynamic row-level locking and the improved query processor.
