I need to save the DB Diagram (or have the ability to save in an acceptable file format). Anyone have some ideas to accomplish this goal?

If you just want a picture why not just get the diagram onscreen and hit the PrtScn button, paste that into an image program?

Otherwise a copy of visio lying around would do the task nicely as well....my preferred tool of use for that sort of thing (not used Erwin, too many pennies)

Print Screen is OK for small diagrams, but if you have spent ages laying out the ERM for a huge database, you then have to zoom out to fit it all on and the bitmap produced is too low a resolution to be of any use!
Visio or Erwin are expensive (but excellent) solutions.
For a cheap but very workable soultion, try installing one of the freeware/shareware pdf printer drivers (I use CutePDF, http://www.acrosoftware.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp). Then just print the diagram to a file, and you have resizable, zoomable, etc diagram that you can share with others via the free Acrobat reader. Problem solved!

I've used Erwin, Visio and Rational Rose for creating ERM Diagrams.
But for capturing images, wether they are of database diagrams, icons, windows, menus, or regions Snag-IT is the way to go.
http://www.techsmith.com and at $39.95 it's a tool most everyone can afford and adds an incredible amount of versatitlity that a simple print screen doesn't.

Matt
