Enterprise Manager Icon

  • Hi,

When you open Enterprise Manager, I notice a red squiggly line on top of the green arrow through some of the database server icons. On others, I just see the green arrow. What is this squiggly line?

    THanks. Jeff

    Many thanks. Jeff

  • What SQL Server version do you have?

Is the red squiggly line only on Server icons that you have expanded?

  • I see the red squiggly line when I've paused the SQL Server service.

  • Each server (instance) has it's own service, so it's probably showing which ones are still running. There's a tool bar icon for the SQL Services also, and it shows the same red squigly.

Course I could be backwards and it could be showing the ones that are stopped.

  • Hi,

I'm using SQL 7 EM. All servers with the red squiggly lines are running ...

    Many thanks. Jeff

  • In 7.0 Enterprise Manager, the red squiggly line indicates that you are connected to the server.  Right click on one and select "disconnect" and the red squiggly will go away.
