Hi there,
I can't believe this is happening.
I've been awarded - TAHDAH - '
Employee of the month
The first one since the stone age some 1.5 years ago.
And now guess what for???
Becuase I helped our accounting trolls to prepare their semiannual financial statements.
How I did it?
Well, basically I changed one command in their self made interface app that communicates with SAP.
I changed FileScripting Object's 'writeln' to 'write'
I'm so proud, let me just say thank you to my mom, my dad, the peolpe who believed in me, my record company ?!?!?!, my producer and, of course, you the fans, without whom nothing would have been possible.
Hey, I always wanted to say that.
So, my friends, feel invited to one or more virtual drinks !!!!!
Cheers,
Frank

Congratulations Frank. I'll have a single malt (only a heathen calls it scotch).

In honor of Frank, I'll be asking for a Spaten at my local watering hole tonight. Or maybe it will be a Warsteiner depending on which pours best. Gotta love German beer! Many congratulations to you Frank, and I'm glad to see you're getting some of the recognition that you deserve.

Well done Frank. All that hard work's paid off.
What are you going to do when they find out you're spending most of your day solving other people's problems... and you've been awarded EOTM by 27 other companies around the world?
Cheers,

I had to google on 'Spaten'. This is a german beer.
Thought you might want to know that contemporary academical investigations have come to the conclusion that wheat beer is of lesser quality, that is the alcohol in them is of that lesser quality. In addition this kind of beer will make you get drunk quicker!
So far in theory
Cheers,

So was I.
You know, the best thing is, I was invited to a kick-off meeting for next years budgeting. I came in and saw the whole management united standing there. At first I though 'I'm fired' but then I saw the champagne. Then the CEO god himself started his laudatio and it took me 5 minutes to figure out what he was talking about!!!
I didn't attach great importance to what I did, but obviously my company does.
So we had nice 30 minutes with champagne and canapes
Cheers,
Frank

Moi? A gourmet? I'm not even sure how to turn the oven on (I think it's one of those dials but why bother). I live because there are several restaurants nearby that tend to cater to DBAs.
I've played golf with Scotsmen. I have to admit I only understood 70% of what they said, and that went down the more we drank. I had no idea that drinking could affect your hearing, but I have proved it scientifically by having people talk to me while I drink. I tend to no longer hear them after awhile. An amazing phenomenon.

Frank, it seems this name change thing is taking you to new heights
Have to reconsider myself.
They realize they are not paying you for what you do but for what you know! GURU!

NO VIRTUAL MONEY.
The bonus is half that high what I guess they had to pay to some external consultants to solve the problem. I gave it a warm welcome for I'm on holiday at the end of September
