Hello everyone,
When I attempt to register a server in SQL Server Enterprise Manager, I'm receiving the following error message:
Login Failed-User: Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server Connection
I was able to register the other servers without any problems.
Does anyone have an idea as to why this error is occuring?
Thank you for your help,
Peter

Hello Allen,
From SQL Server 2000, I'm attempting to register a SQL Server 6.5 server and when I do, I'm receiving the following error message:
Login failed- User: Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server Connection
This is what I did so far:
1) Changed the Authentication Mode from Windows NT Authentication Mode to Mixed Mode.
2) Rebooted the server
I'm still receiving the same error message.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Peter

I don't use 6.5, but....
check that your login does have access to the database and that it uses NT login authentication.
is your computer on a different domain than the SQL Server you are trying to register?

You can't administer SQL server 6.5 with 2000 EM.
