Does anyone else have this?
I keep getting messages in my SQL Server logs normally every other one or two days. We are doing Full/log backups to a separate SAN.
Internal I/O request 0x4D79C788: Op: Read, pBuffer: 0x07420000, Size: 65536, Position: 1897142784, UMS: Internal: 0x80030, InternalHigh: 0xA38E6E6, Offset: 0x71141A00, OffsetHigh: 0x0, m_buf: 0x07420000, m_len: 65536, m_actualBytes: 0, m_errcode: 64, BackupFile:
Or
BackupDiskFile::RequestDurableMedia: failure on backup device '…’ Operating system error 64(error not found).
Does this mean that we could have a possible problem with our disk array? I noted that the directory that that backups are run to is a compressed drive. I can find reference to not storing data/log files on compressed drives but nothing on backup up to compressed drives.
Regards
Andrew

Have you checked the Windows Event Viewer Logs for any correlating error messages?
