I think SQLServerCentral.com is a great site for all that is SQL Server. If only there were a site as nice for VB.Net? Perhaps there is and I do not know about it? I would appreciate suggestions.

mmmm... good idea!
There are plenty of other sites for VB.Net, but i like the format of SQLServerCentral... Maybe i should create a VB.NET version? (Without infringing on SQLServerCentral of course....)

Although you may find plenty of VB (and VB.Net) sites around, I think it will be difficult to find a good community.
However, if you want to do in VB what most people believe isn't possible I suggest this site
http://vbaccelerator.com/home.htm
Plenty of very interesting stuff like subclassing....

Although this site (www.codeproject.com) is mostly C#, it can easily be converted into VB.NET. There is a VB.NET section as well. Some of the most advanced code I've seen comes from this site and the Forums are super nice!

Thanks for the links. DevHood seems the most similar; however, it's odd that this site rates me as a level 1 peasant. I resent that - as a taxpayer living in California, I'm at least a slave level 3 .

We've considered at times branching out a little, but our core competency is SQL so we've been sticking to what we know/do. Maybe someday...!

Well, it might be worth considering, because I think the vast? majority of members here use also VB in their daily work. So I guess as long as DB development with VB is meant, the knowledge is already there.

We've got a planning meeting coming up, we'll revisit then.
