Accessing a temporary table through a linked serve

  I am trying to access a temporary table created on Server A from a linked server connection on Server B. The error I recieve makes me think that this is not possible. Has any one else been sucessful in accessing a temporary table through a linked server connection? How?

  Hello. I have tried, received the following message:

  Database name 'xxx' ignored, referencing object in tempdb.

  Temp tables are placed in tempdb. It looks like we cannot referecning objects in tempdb via linked server. So, I guess you cannot do it.
