Strange error message durring merge replication??

  Hi there,

  during a merge replication I get the following message:

  Fehler: '-2147201009-Der Mergeprozess konnte die Liste der Abonnements nicht abrufen.'

  Fehler: ' 242-Protokollfehler im TDS-Datenstrom

  Fehler: ' 0-Für den Mergeprozess ist beim Ausführen einer Abfrage ein Timeout eingetreten. Konfigurieren Sie den QueryTimeout-Parameter neu, und führen Sie die Operation erneut aus.'

  Translation:

  Error: '-2147201009-The mergeprocess could not get the list of the subscribers.'

  Error: '242-Protocoll-Error in TDS-Datastream' 

  Error: '0-A Timeout occured durring the mergeprocess. Please, reconfigure the QueryTimeout-Parameter, and restart the operation.'

  The Query Timeout is set to 1800 seconds, but the message occurs about 5 seconds after the cleanup of "MSmerge_genhistory", "MSmerge_contents" and "MSmerge_tombstone" , so I guess it can not be the Query-Timeout setting.

  Does anybody have any idea what that error 242 - TDS-Datastream means?

  I cannot find any documantations at all about that message?

  (We are using SQL-Server 2000 Standard Edition - SP2 and on the client MSDE (SQL-2000) SP2)

  Please help.
