Hey,
We had an issue here on friday which has caused a lot of problems.
I removed the BUILTIN\Administrators from the System Administrators server role.
Some scheduled jobs started to run but then froze. These jobs access our JDE system. It appears that only these jobs failed as our TLog backups were fine.
Also, the backup dba could not log into enterprise manager on monday morning. We had to remove his login and recreate it.
I checked the SQL logs and the Event viewer but I don't see anything that stands out...
Extremely stumped here...can anyone throw any light on this?

Perhaps some jobs were expecting to have sysadmin rights. If you add back BI|admins, do they work again?
Might need to track the individual jobs and see what rights they appear to need.

Please check if "SQL Server Agent --> Properties (Connection Tab) has "Use Windows Authentication" option checked.
Hope this Helps!!!

Steve,
That was my initial thought. However, these jobs now run perfectly and nothing has been changed...ie..we did not add BI\Administrators back into the SysAdmin server role!
Mdamera,
We have WinNT Authentication as the connection settings!
As you mentioned it Steve, now is a good a time as any to review all my jobs and make sure everything is in order!
