  I am wondering if its possible to hardcode the NT User that will run a scheduled DTS job. My understanding if I execute the package from the DTS folder than my privleges will be used (I call out to NT alot so I would prefer my privleges) else scheduling it will use the locals server SYSTEM account. In conclusion, is there a way to schedule a DTS package under a specific NT user account.

  If you run the DTS inside a job with windows autenthication, then it will run with the SQL Agent Login account.

  To change the local system account, use your login to start the sql server agent service.
