Does anyone have any experience or documents available to creating a named instance SQL Server 2000 cluster using SAN as the shared storage.
I've installed several SCSI clusters following the strict protocol when assigning networls/shared storage.
My current dilemma is does this protocol apply to a SAN installation, if so how ?

As far as SQL is concerned it works exactly the same. The storage is part of the cluster group, when you install SQL it detects the cluster, you just select whatever drive you've already configured for the mdf's.

Yep. If you can do a SCSI cluster SAN is a cake walk. Setup quarum drive space for system dbs on the san and setup your groups and drive dependencies so it will all the drives will fail over.
