A installation of SQL 2000 was installed to the F: drive and the data to G: Now, weeks later, I need to modify this setup. I need everything installed on the f: Drive. I know I can detach and attach my databases. But what about the file structure and the other files the installation put on H: For example on the H:\MSSQL\FTDATA\SQLSERVER\CONFIG folder I have a number of files here. Can I copy these files and folders onto F:, or do I have to reinstall SQL? Or is their another solution?

Not sure about the full text index - Im sure there is a way to move it, just havent tried it. Can always rebuild. The rest you can just copy. If you're moving master/model you'll have to update the registry to reflect the new file locations.

Normally when I move the system databases I used the procedures on the following page:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q224071
I never try to update the registry, but I'm sure that is also a do-able option.
