we hava an SQL server 2000 running on windows 2000 machine.How will i query the SQL2K through a windows 98 machine.. Is there any client utility to provide same??

ODBC drivers will work. Get the latest MDAC from MS will work. You can also install the client tools from the SQL Server CD on W98.

Boss, can u pls explain in detail how to connect and what all are the tools in SQL SERVER 2000 CD that i should install in WIN98

Unless you have a specific tool then put the SQl 2000 CD in the drive and choose to install sql components then client tools only. This will install Enterprise Manger and Query Analyzer.
