Did you made any changes to your distributor? Did you disable the replication?

no changes, i don't use replication
but i was wandering how the replication monitor icon is not shown in EM.
you are right, i think you mean the distributor account?
the distributor account is missing.
do i have to create the account again?
thanks

The replication monitor will only show if you have the Server configured as a Distributor. Did you have the server configured as a distributor before? Maybe it was deleted and that's why the monitor is not shown.

But Why do you want the replication monitor to show up if you won't use replication in your servers.
Are you planning to set the server as a distributor to start replication?

nope, i don't by your answer MR.
when you install the server by default you
get the replication monitor shown in the EM
even though you have not create any replication. is that clear?
find someone else to play with??????????

Page69,
I think you are probably refering to something else. Replication monitor will only be displayed in EM when the you have successfully configured a distributor on the server. Racosta is right.

You should study more page, before talking...

I think what you are referring to is the Replication Monitor Group, which you can turn on and off from the Tools -> Replication menu. It is just a way to group together all of the Replication Monitors for each server that has replication enabled. But as racosta has been telling you, there won't be anything to monitor unless one of the servers you have registered in EM actually has replication enabled, therefore the "Group" will be empty.
