I am looking to purchase a new server for our webserver.
WE are looking at one with a Xeon processor running SQL Server Standard Edition with Windows 2000.
I was reading through MS system requirements and did not say that it would not work but it does not say that it would either.
Would SQL Server Standard Edition work with Xeon process along with Windows 2000 Server?

Most servers use xeon processors. There are no problems

The minimum requirement is Pentium 166Mhz, I have even tried it on a P166(which was snail speed in working). As long as you are faster than that doesn't matter brand, version or speed.

Thanks, I didn't think there was any type of limitation. I was not sure if Xeon processors running SQL Server required that you have SQL Server Enterprise edition. Cool beans. That takes care of that issue.
