SqlServerAgent Install Problem

  I have just tried to install SQL 7.0, windows 2000 OP, on a clients machine and gettting the following error when I try and run SqlServerAgent;

  An error 1060 - (The specified service does not exist as an installed service) occurred while performing this service operation on the SQLServerAgent service.

  Looking into Admin Tools and Services, the Agent is not there.

  I re-installed, clearing all registry files etc and to no avail.

  Anyone seen this before

  Check out on ur binn folder of the installation path whether the sqlagent(EXE) is there in the folder, this might help u.

  I think thst the problem.

  Have you taken a look at the install logs, so see why it wasn't installed?
