i want to know one thing.where should i schedule (snapshot agent or distribution agent)
in order to avoid network traffic on peak times.i want to schedule in off peak time.
here publisher and distributor is in the same server.
can anybody tell me about it.should i have to schedule in both?

Assuming you're using transactional replication, the snapshot isn't going to need to run very often - I think it defaults to once a day and that is plenty, most times it runs without doing anything. You can run the distribution agent at any interval you want, just keep in mind while it's off you're accruing all the changes made to the published articles in the distribution db - so your data on the subscriber will become more and more out of date until it finally runs. That means you need space to hold all those changes and when you finally do run them, it's going to generate a long period of network traffic. As long as that's ok, no problem to run once a day or whatever.
