I have a SQL Server 2000 running a transactional replicaiton. The replication has failed with an "invalid descriptor index" error. Can anyone help me resolve this problem?

Check out all the KB articles here http://search.support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx?Catalog=LCID%3D1033%26CDID%3DEN-US-KB%26PRODLISTSRC%3DON&Product=&KeywordType=ALL&Titles=false&numDays=&maxResults=25&withinResults=&Queryl=Invalid+Descriptor+Index&Query=Invalid+Descriptor+Index&QuerySource=gsfxSearch_Query
Apply the latest SP. There is a note on a particular driver being the issue so if you know it will not adversly affect you try the latest MDAC as well.
You might try first dropping the publication and removing replication from the DB then readd from scratch and see if corrects. That is if this is happening often.

Hi,
I have applied all the patches (SQL Server 200 SP3a, MDAC 2.8). I am still getting the same exception. I am trying to
to fetch the record from the table using CRecordset object.
Please let me know how to get around with it. Your help is much appreciated.
Cheers!
